The Idea of BRIDGING NEIGHBOURS
It was early 2012 when Laura was sitting in her new kitchen, the apartment full of boxes. She had just moved back from Amsterdam to Düsseldorf – after having lived and worked in the Netherlands for 12 years.
She started a new life in Germany, but she still observed lots of misunderstandings and struggles in business interactions between the two countries. So her thoughts kept coming back to the question: ‘What are the biggest differences between the German and the Dutch cultures?’ Laura wondered, what she could contribute to a better cross-cultural understanding in her field – Recruitment. She scribbled the words BRIDGING NEIGHBOURS into her sketch book….
A couple of years later, 2018, the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. Together with her partners Cathrin and Mareike, she runs a successful recruitment business – which goes far beyond the typical ‘agency work’.
